About – Tana Emelogu

A little about me

I’m Tana (Tan-uh). Born on the fourth of July in Dallas, Texas. I lived there for all of my grade school years until I moved to Seattle while in college. After many years, I can say with ease that I'm meant to live near the water. The beauty that the PNW offers is a real treat. I love live music, snapping photos and cats.

I've always gravitated toward visual, creative work. My interests range from design and film to photography simply because they are visual mediums. I entered the professional design realm over 15 years ago as a freelancer, designing websites and other materials from scratch for several clients. Since then, I've worked on great teams at some of the most influential companies in the world— Microsoft, Amazon and most recently Cloudflare.

As a designer, my primary goal is to effectively combine creativity and usability. My approach to creative work is known for being detailed and process driven with an analytical flair. I'm calm under pressure and thrive on building trust with my stakeholders and team. I get ideas out of the deck and into the world.
